OverviewIf you were to choose your highlight locations and things to do in these two huge and varied countries, we are sure it would match the highlights included on our tour! This 16-day trip ticks off the must-sees in Argentina and Brazil, and reveals a host of hidden gems too.
Your tour begins in the beguiling and charismatic city of Buenos Aires, where you can take in everything from tango dancing to the country’s favourite sport of football. The colourful neighbourhood of La Boca makes an entertaining outing, while a trip to an estancia (ranch) a short distance outside the city, will reveal how the traditional Argentine Gaucho lives.
A short flight brings you to El Calafate, located in the deep south of Patagonia. See is the jaw-droppingly gorgeous Perito Moreno Glacier.
The tour then heads to Iguazú, where you will enjoy two excursions to see the wondrous Iguazú waterfalls from both the Brazilian and Argentinean perspectives. Then it’s off to then high-spirited city of Rio de Janeiro, where you’ll be treated to all the iconic tourist hotspots, including Sugar Loaf Mountain and Christ the Redeemer Statue and the beach heaven area of Búzios.
Day 1: Buenos Aires
Arrive in Buenos Aires and travel by private transfer to your hotel. In the afternoon you will experience the city through a private tour. In the evening there will be dinner and a tango show at Esquina Carlos Gardel, the foremost tango house in Buenos Aires.
Day 2: Buenos Aires
Today will be a full day excursion at Estancia La Porteña, where you will experience the life of a gaucho. Transfers and lunch included.
Day 3: Buenos Aires
You will have the day free to explore the city at your own leisure.
Day 4: Buenos Aires > El Calafate
After breakfast,you will be transferred to the airport for your flight to El Calafate. Upon arrival here you will be transfer to Casa Los Sauces Hotel.
Day 5: El Calafate
Today you will have an excursion to the awe-inspiring Perito Moreno Glacier.
Day 6: El Calafate
Today will be a full day navigation to Spegazzini Glacier and Perito Moreno Glacier (VIP cabin).
Day 7: El Calafate / Iguazú
Transfer from your hotel to the airport today, for arrival in Buenos Aires Domestic Airport to catch your connecting flight to Puerto Iguazú. From here you will be transferred to Loi Suites Iguazu Hotel.
Day 8: Iguazú
You will have a full day excursion today to the Argentinean Side of the waterfalls.
Day 9: Iguazú / Rio de Janeiro
Today you will visit the Brazilian Side of the Waterfalls in a half day Tour. Afterwards you will be transferred to the airport for your flight to Rio de Janeiro. You will be met from the airport and taken to your hotel, the Royal Rio Palace, by private transfer. Your afternoon will consist of a panoramic tour, followed by sunset Corcovado Visit.
Day 10: Rio de Janeiro
Today you will have a car and guide at your disposal to explore the stunning beaches of Rio de Janeiro.
Day 11: Rio de Janeiro
Today will consist of a City tour of the 'marvelous city' and will include a Sugar Loaf visit.
Day 12: Rio de Janeiro / Búzios
Today you will be transferred from Rio de Janeiro to Búzios. Your afternoon will consist of a Panoramic Trolley Tour.
Day 13: Búzios
Today will include a surfing Lesson in Geribá, a stunning beach popular with surfers of all levels! Lunch is included at the hotel restaurant (drinks not included).
Day 14: Búzios
Today enjoy the area onboard a catamaran Cruise, including transfer from hotel to pier and back.
Day 15: Búzios
Today you will be able to explore the area at your leisure on your final day in Brazil, and lunch is included at the hotel restaurant.
Day 16: Departure
Transfer out from hotel to International airport of Rio de Janeiro.

Getting to Argentina and Brazil is straightforward from most areas of the world, but you may find that the choice is bewildering, or you’re not sure about the easiest route. Tango Tours are experienced in planning flights to/from the UK as well as flights within Latin America - we are very happy to advise you on the different choices available. Because prices tend to increase closer to your departure date, we advise that you buy your international flight tickets as soon as you have made a decision about your tour. As an ATOL bonded tour operator, we can assist in your purchase of international flights. In fact, your entire tour can be protected under our ATOL licence by booking your international flight with us. Please note that flight tickets are non-refundable and 100% of your flight ticket price is payable on tour confirmation.
As with international flights, Tango Tours' friendly and knowledgeable staff are on hand to book your internal flights for you if required. For some itineraries, you need to arrive at a particular destination at a required time/date therefore, it is vital that you book the correct flights and times of arrival. Our ATOL licence will protect your whole tour if your internal flights are purchased through us. Please note that flights are non-refundable and 100% of your flight ticket price is payable on tour confirmation.
To confirm your booking with Tango Tours, we require a payment of 20% of the ground-based arrangements and 100% of all flights. The remaining balance of your tour is then payable 10 weeks prior to departure. For any bookings made within these 10 weeks, the full amount is payable.
