OverviewYour journey starts, of course, in the colourful and electric city of Rio de Janerio where you will see Sugar Loaf Mountain by cable car, Christ the Redeemer up close, Pepino beach for hand gliding and a unique evening tour of the city complete with local steak and a samba show! Rio really has it all.
From Rio you will fly to Salvador where you will have a fascinating tour of the cities history and really get a feel for the culture and lifestyle in this area. The colonial architecture is beautiful and our expert guides will talk you through some important historical events that happened here. You will also have some time to explore this area yourself.
Next is a short flight to Recife, on the coast, where more amazing colonial architecture decorates the streets and the crystal clear ocean gleams in the distance. You have some time to explore this fast-paced, exciting city before flying on to Manaus where you will be driven on to an Amazon Ecopark Lodge. An amazing natural experience where you get the chance to come face-to-face with nature in the heart of the Amazon Rainforest.
The last stop on this epic tour of Brazil is on everyone's bucket list! The majestic Iguazu waterfalls. You will have a whole day at the falls exploring both the Brazilian and Argentinean sides. This natural wonder will really take your breath away, the sheer scale of these incredible falls is something to behold!
Its then time to bid farewell to Brazil as you transfer to the airport, but we know you'll be back!
Day 1: Arrival - Rio De Janeiro
On your arrival in Rio you will be met and taken to your hotel where you have the night to relax or explore the city!
Day 2: Rio De Janeiro
Today you will have a great opportunity to explore more of Rio de Janeiro and its surroundings areas with a tour to Sugar Loaf Mountain, the guardian of Guanabara Bay. Here, a trilling cable car ride will take you to the top of Sugar Loaf, at 395 meters above the city.
Day 3: Rio De Janeiro
In the morning you will go to Christ the Redeemer statue in the mountain of Corcovado, located at 710 meters above the sea level. The tour begins in Cosme Velho's neighborhood from where the cog train starts a trip through the Tijuca Forest, the largest urban forest in the world, up to the statue. Once there, a panoramic and extraordinary view of Rio will be seen including Sugar Loaf, the Guanabara Bay, the beaches of Southern Zone and the Rodrigo de Freitas lagoon.
After the visit of the Corcovado, the tour will continue to São Conrado area with a brief stop at the Pepino beach from where you can try hand gliding! After this you can return to your hotel for a relax after all the excitement and get ready for the evening!
In the evening, enjoy our outstanding “Rio by Night” Tour. First you will have dinner in one of Rio’s famous Churrascarias (local steak house). This barbecue dinner is part of the Brazilian folklore. After dinner, you will proceed to one of the renowned Samba Show houses in town, where you will see the display of carnival throughout the year with beautiful costumes, the rhythm of a typical samba school and the diverse richness of the Brazilian culture.
Day 4: Rio De Janeiro - Salvador
After Breakfast, transfer to the airport for your short flight to Salvador da Bahia. You will be met on arrival and shown to your hotel where you have the rest of the day free to explore the area, enjoy the hotel and indulge in some local cuisine.
Day 5: Salvador
After breakfast, today’s city tour will take you to see the Upper and Lower cities and the colonial remnants of their cobblestone-paved streets and stucco buildings, including the Sao Francisco Church, The Carmo Museum and Church, Mercado Modelo Market, and “The largo do Pelourinho” (whipping Post Square), where slaves were auctioned and punished during Colonial times. This incredibly moving and fascinating area is steeped in historical interest, so take the rest of the day to explore at your own leisure.
Day 6: Salvador - Recife
After Breakfast, transfer to the airport for your short flight to Recife, where you will be met and taken to your hotel. the rest of the evening is yours to enjoy the hotel and the local area.
Day 7: Recife
Today's city tour will take you to see Recife colonial architecture and its historical downtown area, including the Brennand Ceramic Studios and The Casa da Cultura handicraft market. After Recife, you go to the colonial town of Olinda, a World heritage Monument, which boasts a wealth of Colonial architecture, notably the houses and churches of Alto da Sé, whilst its historical heritage keeps alive the story of Colonial Brazil.
￼Day 8: Recife - Manaus - Amazon Ecopark Lodge
After Breakfast, transfer to the airport for your short flight to Manaus, where you will then travel on to the Amazon Ecopark Lodge, with a full day tour to the "Meeting of the Waters" phenomenon.
Day 9: Amazon Ecopark Lodge
Todays activies are all about nature and wildlife! starting with a nature hike, a trip to the monkey Forest, a visit to a "caboclo ́s" house , fishing and finishing with an evening tour in a canoe to enjoy the sound of nature at night. A truly magical day and experience.
Day 10: Amazon Ecopark Lodge - Iguazu
This morning you will be taken to Manaus airport at late afternoon for your flight to Iguazu, where you will be met and shown to your hotel for the night.
Day 11: Iguazu Falls
After breakfast. Enjoy a tour to the Brazilian AND Argentinean sides of the magnificent falls, viewing them in all their glory.
Day 12: Departure
After Breakfast, transfer to the airport for your flight to airport for your departure flight.

Because prices tend to increase closer to your departure date, we advise that you buy your international flight tickets as soon as you have made a decision about your tour. As an ATOL bonded tour operator, we can assist in your purchase of international flights. In fact, your entire tour can be protected under our ATOL licence by booking your international flight with us. Please note that flight tickets are non-refundable and 100% of your flight ticket price is payable on tour confirmation.
As with international flights, Tango Tours' friendly and knowledgeable staff are on hand to book your internal flights for you if required. For some itineraries, you need to arrive at a particular destination at a required time/date therefore, it is vital that you book the correct flights and times of arrival. Our ATOL licence will protect your whole tour if your internal flights are purchased through us. Please note that flights are non-refundable and 100% of your flight ticket price is payable on tour confirmation.
To confirm your booking with Tango Tours, we require a payment of 20% of the ground-based arrangements and 100% of all flights. The remaining balance of your tour is then payable 10 weeks prior to departure. For any bookings made within these 10 weeks, the full amount is payable.
