Day 1: Arrival - Montevideo
Arrive in Montevideo, where a private transfer will drive you to your hotel in the Pocitos residential area. All guests are invited to a wine tasting this evening, in order to get acquainted with Uruguayan wines.
Day 2: Montevideo - Bouza Winery
This morning enjoy a ciuty tour of Montevideo with wine tasting and lunch at the famous Bouza Winery. The tour will allow you to enjoy Montevideo’s monuments, parks and gardens. The main points of interest are the Old City, Constitution Square, the Cathedral and the Colonial Town Hall, Solis Theatre, Independence Square (at the centre of which stands a monument and mausoleum dedicated to the country’s national hero, José Gervasio Artigas. Facing the square is the Government House (Museum of the Presidents). Continue to the Prado neighbourhood, one of the oldest parks and residential area of the city which hosts the famous sculpture La Diligencia (The Stage Coach), among other great attractions. After the tour, transfer to Bouza Winery which is located in Melilla, only 15 km from Montevideo’s port. The winery is part of a harmonious milieu, surrounded by vines and native woods. The diversity of the native plants and animals is influenced by the proximity of the Santa Lucia River and its outlet into the River Plate, known as the widest river in the world. The winery was born as a family business, placing great care in all stages of the process, starting from the vineyard and ending in the glass.
Day 3: Montevideo - Spinoglio Winery
Depart and drive towards Spinoglio Winery located in the southern region of “Cuchilla Pereyra” at only 25 km Northwards of Montevideo. Here take a tour around the vineyards, the ancient cellar and cava. Upon arrival enjoy its parks, the diversity of its flora and general landscape, accompanied by one of the members of the Spinoglio family. Taste 04 of Spinoglio wines (Tierra Alta Reserva and Tonel 10), accompanied by a selection of cheeses, assorted cold meats, olives, nuts and bread. After the tour and tasting head to Juanico Winery: Upon arrival, a tour of the vineyards and facilities will be given. Facilities are equipped with state-of-the-art processing machinery. The wine cellar dates back to 1840. After being comfortably seated with a plate of cold cuts, cheese and bread, there’ll be a tasting of some of their top wines guided by one of the winery’s Oenologists.
Day 4: Montevideo to Punta del Este
Pick up from your hotel lobby to go on a visit, wine tasting and lunch at Viña Edén Winery. At Viña Edén you can enjoy a typical Uruguayan Parrilla of “Uruguay Natural Club” hormone free grass fed meats, which are
tender and flavorful accompanied by wines grown in the ideal conditions for the creation and sustainable production of unique wines.
Day 5: Departure
After breakfast check out of your hotel in Montevideo and transfer to the airport for your onward travel.

Because prices tend to increase closer to your departure date, we advise that you buy your international flight tickets as soon as you have made a decision about your tour. As an ATOL bonded tour operator, we can assist in your purchase of international flights. In fact, your entire tour can be protected under our ATOL licence by booking your international flight with us. Please note that flight tickets are non-refundable and 100% of your flight ticket price is payable on tour confirmation.
As with international flights, Tango Tours' friendly and knowledgeable staff are on hand to book your internal flights for you if required. For some itineraries, you need to arrive at a particular destination at a required time/date therefore, it is vital that you book the correct flights and times of arrival. Our ATOL licence will protect your whole tour if your internal flights are purchased through us. Please note that flights are non-refundable and 100% of your flight ticket price is payable on tour confirmation.
To confirm your booking with Tango Tours, we require a payment of 20% of the ground-based arrangements and 100% of all flights. The remaining balance of your tour is then payable 10 weeks prior to departure. For any bookings made within these 10 weeks, the full amount is payable.
