Bolivian Adventure Tour
OverviewThis amazing 5-day adventure begins in Copacabana, Bolivia! From here you will board a state-of-the-art hydrofoil cruise ship and sail across the world famous Lake Titicaca to the idyllic Moon & Sun Islands.
On the Sun island you can visit Pilcocaina Sun Temple and experience a Llama trek along the Inca Trails.
The next day you can visit the Grand Inca Stairs & Sacred Fountain, before crossing back over the lake and stopping in at the fascinating Totora-reed boat builders to meet with the local people and learn all about their amazing craft.
Next up is a natural wonder that is on every budding travelers bucket list – the Uyuni Salt Flats! This unbelievably spectacular area is the biggest salt flat in the world and is a site to behold! You will have plenty of time to explore this area, including the Incahuasi Island in the centre, and even spend a night camping on it!
You round the trip off with a tour of La Paz, a massive sprawling city with a whole host of amazing sights and impressive architecture.
This tour would fit in perfectly as part of our other Bolivia tours, or multi-destination partnered with (for example) Peru, Brazil, Chile or Argentina!
Day 1: Arrival - Copacabana - Sun Island
Optional overland trip from Puno in Peru or direct into Bolivia, to Copacabana.
Today you will embark on a Hydrofoil cruise to the idyllic Moon & Sun Islands on Lake Titicaca.
You will visit Pilcocaina Sun Temple and experience a Llama trek along the Inca Trails. Staying here this evening in a luxury lodge.
Day 2: Sun Island - Huatajata - La Paz
Descend from the lodge to visit the Grand Inca Stairs & Sacred Fountain. After lunch returning to Copacabana and passing overland to Huatajata.
This afternoon you have the opportunity to meet the fascinating Totora-reed boat builders and learn all about their impressive skill, from here you will continue on to La Paz.
Day 3: La Paz - Uyuni Salt Flats
This morning you’ll take a 4x4 jeep to the spectacular “Uyuni Salt Flats”, arriving in Oruro and Huari. Lunch in Oruro with the day to enjoy the flats.
Enjoy the sunset at the shore of the white salt flats where you will camp for the evening in comfortable deluxe tents or state-of-the-art camper vans, its up to you! A real magical experience that you will never forget.
Day 4: Uyuni - La Paz
After breakfast explore ‘Incahuasi’ island – in the middle of the salt flats.
Lunch on the island then travel Overland return to La Paz, arriving late afternoon and checking in to your hotel for the evening.
Day 5: Departure
This morning embark on a City Tour of La Paz exploring all the highlights of the exciting capital, then you have a chance to see the amazing Moon Valley!
It is time to say farewell Bolivia, as you are transferred to the airport for your onward flight.

Getting to Bolivia is straightforward from most areas of the world, but you may find that the choice is bewildering, or you’re not sure about the easiest route. Because prices tend to increase closer to your departure date, we advise that you buy your international flight tickets as soon as you have made a decision about your tour. As an ATOL bonded tour operator, we can assist in your purchase of international flights. In fact, your entire tour can be protected under our ATOL licence by booking your international flight with us. Please note that flight tickets are non-refundable and 100% of your flight ticket price is payable on tour confirmation.
As with international flights, Tango Tours' friendly and knowledgeable staff are on hand to book your internal flights for you if required. For some itineraries, you need to arrive at a particular destination at a required time/date therefore, it is vital that you book the correct flights and times of arrival. Our ATOL licence will protect your whole tour if your internal flights are purchased through us. Please note that flights are non-refundable and 100% of your flight ticket price is payable on tour confirmation.
To confirm your booking with Tango Tours, we require a payment of 20% of the ground-based arrangements and 100% of all flights. The remaining balance of your tour is then payable 10 weeks prior to departure. For any bookings made within these 10 weeks, the full amount is payable.
