Honeymoon in Beautiful Belize


Famous for its excellent diving and snorkelling opportunities and marine life, Belize has to be seen to be believed!

Your journey starts in San Ignacio, in the West, where you can throw yourself into adventure with a cave tubing trip and an exploration of the mysterious jungle. Visit a local market and explore an underground wilderness before taking a short flight over to San Pedro on the small paradise island of Ambergris Caye.

Home to the world famous ‘Great Blue Hole’ and renowned for its water sports and untouched Caribbean beaches this is the ultimate honeymoon destination – you will never want to leave!


Day 1: Arrival - Belize City
Arrival in Belize City and transfer to San Ignacio where you will stay in a luxury resort for the night and have your first taste of Belize cuisine!

Day 2: San Ignacio
This morning, take a short journey to San Jose Succotz for a tour of the impressive Xunantunich Mayan ruins. Next embark on an exhilarating Cave Tubing trip! Right next to the Xunantunich ruins you lie back on your big inflatable ring and float your way down underground. Suitable everyone and anyone this is really good fun! Return to the resort in the evening for dinner.

Day 3: San Ignacio
After breakfast, take a trip to see the San Antonio women’s group – a traditional Mayan agricultural community who live in the beautiful setting of San Antoni in ‘Tanah’, meaning ‘our home’. They have a local market you can visit with breads, jewellery and pottery. This area is also famous for chocolate! Go on a chocolate tour learning all about how it is made as well as, of course, tasting!

Day 4: San Ignacio
Today take part in an exciting cave tour exploring an underground wilderness! You have the afternoon to relax and enjoy the area or the facilities in the lodge before dinner.

Day 5: San Ignacio – Belize City – San Pedro
Transfer from San Ignacio to Belize City, visiting Belize Zoo en route! From Belize City you take a small local fight to San Pedro, just over the water to the most Southern point of the island of Ambergris Caye.

Day 6: San Pedro
After breakfast and a briefing with a local expert, visit Hol Chan marine reserve and take a magical Shark Ray Alley snorkelling tour! Don’t panic, this popular diving spot does not contain any dangerous sharks, but does have an amazing variety of marine life for you to see.

Day 7: San Pedro
You have the whole day to relax and enjoy this exquisitely beautiful island where the turquoise seas, white sandy beaches and scattered palm trees are like something from the movies! This evening, embark upon a sunset cruise around the area. Incredibly romantic and laid-back this is the honeymoon you deserve!

Day 8: San Pedro
You have the whole day again today to relax and enjoy your stunning surroundings. You can take part in any beach activities like diving, snorkelling or a boat ride just let us know what you want to do. Or if relaxing on the beach with a cocktail is more your style – that’s fine too!

Day 9: Departure
From the hotel you will be taken to the airstrip where you head back to Belize City for your onward flight.

    International Flights
    Getting to Belize is straightforward from most areas of the world, but you may find that the choice is bewildering, or you’re not sure about the easiest route. Tango Tours are experienced in planning flights to Latin America as well as flights within Latin America - we are very happy to advise you on the different choices available. Because prices tend to increase closer to your departure date, we advise that you buy your international flight tickets as soon as you have made a decision about your tour. As an ATOL bonded tour operator, we can assist in your purchase of international flights. In fact, your entire tour can be protected under our ATOL licence by booking your international flight with us. Please note that flight tickets are non-refundable and 100% of your flight ticket price is payable on tour confirmation.

    Internal Flights
    As with international flights, Tango Tours' friendly and knowledgeable staff are on hand to book your internal flights for you if required. For some itineraries, you need to arrive at a particular destination at a required time/date therefore, it is vital that you book the correct flights and times of arrival. Our ATOL licence will protect your whole tour if your internal flights are purchased through us. Please note that flights are non-refundable and 100% of your flight ticket price is payable on tour confirmation.

    To confirm your booking with Tango Tours, we require a payment of 20% of the ground-based arrangements and 100% of all flights. The remaining balance of your tour is then payable 10 weeks prior to departure. For any bookings made within these 10 weeks, the full amount is payable.
