Leaving Havana, you will travel to the beautiful UNESCO heritage declared city of Trinidad- a 'must-visit' on any Cuban itinerary! Wonder through its hazy, relaxed streets and visit some stunning and important sights.
Founded by the French, Cienfuegos is your next stop. Soak up the laid back atmosphere and enjoy breathtaking views of the bay before heading back to Havana or Varadero where you can extend your stay and enjoy Cuba's incredible beaches!
Day 1: Havana
Enjoy a tour of the World Heritage Site of the Historic Centre of Old Havana, visiting Plaza de la Catedral, Plaza de Armas, Plaza de San Francisco de Asís and Plaza Vieja squares followed by lunch at a local restaurant. After lunch, continue on your city tour visiting Central Park, Parque de la Fraternidad and Plaza de la Revolucion. You have the evening free to relax.
Day 2: Havana- Las Terrazas - Havana
Today, travel to an ecological project located in the Sierra de Rosario UNESCO Biosphere Reserve, located within the forested hills of Las Terrazas. It combines a small community of around 1200 people where buildings are designed to blend in with their surroundings. Visit Hacienda La Union, with it’s beautiful garden of tropical plants the partially reconstructed ruins of the Cafetal Buenavista, a coffee plantation from the nineteenth century. Visit the local community including the People's Square and its socio-cultural facilities and a screen printing workshop and gallery. After lunch, you have time to relax in San Juan River, before returning to your hotel in Havana.
Day 3: Havana - Guamá - Trinidad
Located on the Zapata Peninsula, your tour will take you to Guamá. This intriguing area is home to an abundance of natural wonders. Explore the area with your guide visiting many areas of interest including the fascinating Crocodile Hatchery. Enjoy lunch in a local restaurant before continuing to your hotel in the city of Trinidad, where dinner will be served this evening.
Day 4: Trinidad
Declared an UNESCO heritage site, the stunning colonial city of Trinidad has a lot to offer! Visit the Plaza Mayor, the Romantic Museum, The Church of the Holy Trinity, Bar la Canchánchara for a typical welcome cocktail during your city tour and finally visit a Ceramic Workshop. Stop for lunch at local restaurant before enjoying some free time in the afternoon to enjoy this incredible city. Dinner is served at your hotel this evening.
Day 5: Trinidad - Cienfuegos – Varadero / Havana
Cienfuegos is known as the ‘Pearl of the South’! Explore its beautiful streets and avenues founded by the French. Cienfuegos is located in a wonderful bay, where the largest coral of Cuba was discovered. During your visit you will see the Martí Park, the Tomas Terry Theatre, Casa de Bienes Culturales and Cathedral of the Purísima Concepción. Stop for lunch at a local restaurant before heading back to Varadero or Havana.

Getting to Cuba is straightforward from most areas of the world, but you may find that the choice is bewildering, or you’re not sure about the easiest route. Tango Tours are experienced in planning flights and we are very happy to advise you on the different choices available. Because prices tend to increase closer to your departure date, we advise that you buy your international flight tickets as soon as you have made a decision about your trip. As an ATOL bonded tour operator, we can assist in your purchase of international flights. In fact, your entire tour can be protected under our ATOL licence by booking your international flight with us. Please note that 100% of your flight ticket price is payable on tour confirmation and is non-refundable.
As with international flights, Tango Tours' friendly and knowledgeable staff are on hand to book your internal flights. Our ATOL licence will protect your whole tour if your internal flights are purchased through us. Please note that flights are non-refundable and 100% of your flight ticket price is payable on tour confirmation.
To confirm your booking with Tango Tours, we require a payment of 20% of the ground-based arrangements and 100% of all flights booked with us. The remaining balance of your tour is then payable 10 weeks prior to departure. For any bookings made within these 10 weeks, the full amount is payable.
