Camagüey is your next stop - weave your way through the atmospheric labyrinthine streets before continuing onto the stunning UNESCO city of Trinidad where the beautiful surroundings will really encapsulate you!
Founded by the French, Cienfuegos is your next stop. Soak up the laid back atmosphere and enjoy breathtaking views of the bay before heading on to the important revolutionary city of Santa Clara en route back to Havana or Varadero where you can extend your stay and enjoy Cuba's incredible beaches!
Day 1: Havana - Santiago De Cuba
Transfer to the airport in Havana for your internal flight to Holguin. On arrival, you will be met and transferred to your hotel in Santiago de Cuba. After dinner at the hotel, you have the rest of the evening free to relax and explore.
Day 2: Santiago De Cuba
Santiago de Cuba is the second most important city in Cuba. A city steeped in history and music, it is the capital of the East and was an important part of the Cuban Revolution. With its distinctive Afro-Cuban culture, this city is an “off-the-beaten-track” gem that cannot be missed! The city tour, includes visits to the Sanctuary El Cobre, Moncada Barracks, Céspedes Park, Morro Castle, Santa Ifigenia Cemetery and Diego Velásquez House. Lunch is included at a local restaurant. Following the tour, return to the hotel for dinner, then the evening is yours to enjoy the city.
Day 3: Santiago De Cuba - Holguín
Today, visit Cayo Saetía reserve and enjoy a jeep/truck safari between the lush forests and stretching prairies of the Cayo. Observe exotic and endemic animals that are living in complete freedom here, including: zebras, antelopes, buffalo, bulls, wild horses, wild boars, dromedaries, giraffes, and ostriches, among many more! Stop for lunch at the beach Ranchón where you have some time to enjoy the beautiful coastal surroundings and swim in the pleasant waters. Continue to your hotel in Holguin for dinner.
Day 4: Holguin - Santa Lucía
Holguin city is popularly known as ‘The City of the Parks’! During your city tour, visit its five stunning parks located in its main streets, continuing on to Loma de la Cruz, which rises to 261 meters above sea level providing an excellent view over the city. This afternoon, head to Santa Lucia to your beachfront all-inclusive hotel.
Day 5: Santa Lucía
You have the whole day free today to enjoy of one of the most beautiful beaches in Cuba. Optional excursions and activities are available which are payable locally.
Day 6: Santa Lucía – Camagüey - Trinidad
Founded in 1514, Camagüey is known for its urban landscape of narrow and labyrinthine streets that converge in numerous picturesque squares. Enjoy lunch at a local restaurant before a panoramic tour of the city visiting many sites of historical and architectural importance. Continue your journey via the Manaca – Iznaga route through the spectacular ‘Valley of the Ingenios’ region that was once one of the most prosperous in Cuba. This area still retains its splendour thanks to the cultivation and production of cane sugar. On arrival in Trinidad, check into your hotel and enjoy dinner and a relaxing evening.
Day 7: Trinidad - Cienfuegos
Declared an UNESCO heritage site, the stunning colonial city of Trinidad has a lot to offer! During your city tour, visit the Plaza Mayor, the Romantic Museum, The Church of the Holy Trinity and Bar la Canchánchara for a typical welcome cocktail. Stop for lunch at local restaurant before continuing on to Cienfuegos, a city known as ‘The Pearl of the South!’ During your city tour you will see the Martí Park, the Tomas Terry Theatre, Casa de Bienes Culturales and Cathedral of the Purísima Concepción before heading to your hotel for dinner.
Day 8: Cienfuegos - Santa Clara - Guamá – Havana / Varadero
This morning depart to Santa Clara - a beautiful city famous for its important revolutionary landmarks and the final resting place of Che Guevara. Visit the famous ‘Mausoleum of Che’ and the Armored Train followed by a panoramic tour of the city. After lunch at a local restaurant, continue to Guamá - located on the Zapata Peninsula, this intriguing area is home to an abundance of natural wonders. Explore the area with your guide visiting many areas of interest including the fascinating Crocodile Hatchery before continuing on to Havana/Varadero.

Getting to Cuba is straightforward from most areas of the world, but you may find that the choice is bewildering, or you’re not sure about the easiest route. Tango Tours are experienced in planning flights and we are very happy to advise you on the different choices available. Because prices tend to increase closer to your departure date, we advise that you buy your international flight tickets as soon as you have made a decision about your trip. As an ATOL bonded tour operator, we can assist in your purchase of international flights. In fact, your entire tour can be protected under our ATOL licence by booking your international flight with us. Please note that 100% of your flight ticket price is payable on tour confirmation and is non-refundable.
As with international flights, Tango Tours' friendly and knowledgeable staff are on hand to book your internal flights. Our ATOL licence will protect your whole tour if your internal flights are purchased through us. Please note that flights are non-refundable and 100% of your flight ticket price is payable on tour confirmation.
To confirm your booking with Tango Tours, we require a payment of 20% of the ground-based arrangements and 100% of all flights booked with us. The remaining balance of your tour is then payable 10 weeks prior to departure. For any bookings made within these 10 weeks, the full amount is payable.
